Emeka (B,1981), also known as the “Kitchen Gunman,” is a popular cook in Lagos and a retired top creative director working with blue chip ad agencies. A painting graduate from Owerri Art school, he works in a mixed media format, incorporating various found objects into his artwork, which explores themes of social commentary and human psychology. His paintings specifically reflect on modern issues such as consumerism and suicide rights. Emeka’s mixed media combinations give physical form to internal struggles.
