Works

The Lizaad Gallery is proud to present its inaugural exhibition featuring twelve emerging artists whose works transcend conventional restrictions of medium, technique, and style. Titled “Mputa”, which means “emergence” in English, the exhibition speaks to the emerging status of these artists within the global art system, allowing their work to stand on its own, free from preconceived notions from the curator. As the curator, I am thrilled to showcase the contemporary ideas and works of August Tondo, Chidebe Chinedu, Chuma Anagbodo, Emmanuel Ifoegbuike, Emmanuel Ugwu, Ihejirika Emeka, JnGospel Ebere, Joy Nnorom Samuel, Kayode Oluwapelumi, Miracle Eze, Nduka Ikechuwu, Nnamdi Hector Udoka, and Ugwu Johnpaul. Lizaad Gallery is a new space emerging onto the art scene, and this exhibition allows us to highlight vital new voices that represent the future of art. We are confident that viewers will engage openly with the works on display, drawing their own interpretations and enjoying the creativity present. Join us in celebrating these talented artists who are making their mark on the art world. Ugonna Ibekwe | Curator
